Direct air connection between Malaga and New York.
On May 31, 2023, United Airlines will offer direct service from New York to the Costa del Sol for the first time. The airline will offer a seasonal non-stop flight three times a week until the end of September.

The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport of the Junta de Andalucía, Arturo Bernal, has congratulated all those involved in making the direct flight a reality and has assured that the confirmation of this route “is a great opportunity for tourism in Andalusia“. “It is something for which we have fought hard, for many years and always within the working group of air connectivity of Andalusian airports in conjunction with other institutions and captained by the airports,” he added, counting on new links to North America from the capital of the Costa del Sol.
And he added: “in addition to maintaining and improving the connection with New York, I must point out that Miami and Houston are now our new objectives in this strategy of improving air connectivity in North America“.
In America, commercial agreements are multiplying with a city that is experiencing rapid technological growth, with all that this implies in terms of hotel facilities and opportunities for new business. This interest in opening new routes is not only touristic, the commercial aspect is “very present”.
Pedro Bendala, director of Malaga-Costa del Sol International Airport, is “convinced” that there will be more air connections with the United States from Andalusia.
